Is blogging safe???

Yep..thats exactly my question...I was having a discussion with Kiran last night about the number of bloggers that Akron is churning out by the day and he told me its pretty dangerous to write a public diary...He gave me an example of a prof from a university who got sued for writing some information about his students which were supposed to be confidential..the matter went public and the prof got sued for millions..

So i think we need to be careful about the words we use..about the people whom we write...about the matters we discuss...but on the other hand blogs like Father Mario should be encouraged..shouldnt it Hemant...

Walking from AGMC in the snow was again a pain but then reaching home was a priority..

Cell phone got activated couple of days ago..am pleased..

New Cell Phone..

Got a new cell phone guys..for those interested, the number is (330) 256 4590.. not yet activated but shall do that in the next couple of days...its without doubt the most horrible day of the winter with the weather playing havoc and classes being cancelled..not that it makes any difference to me(i am done with the course work) but i am sure people with courses will welcome this cancellation of classes (read Madhu and Priya if i am right)..

Myself and Avinash had a strange thing to do at the lab over at Akron General today..to do an inventory of all the bones we have in the freezer...We counted close to 75 odd bones (from cadavers)..quite a job....still one more freezer to go and GOD only knows whats in store for us there..Human feet, arms, spines, shoulder..well, the list goes on...certainly not for the weak hearted..just the other day we all were watching THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and today was something just like that although not that gory as the movie was..it was one of the most horrific movies i have ever seen..

By the looks of the recent blogs. it sure seems that its NOSTALGIA season as Hemant and Brijesh come up with bachpan ki yaadein..nice to read them..makes me go back in time and think of the all the crazy stuff that happened to me (not much though..was a good and sincere student)..have more memories of engineering which i shall share with you guys in the coming days..

Was just reading Brijesh's blog on What do Women Want and i think there has to be a balance between needs and no-needs..you guys must be wondering what am i doing writing a blog instead of a comment but hey, its sunday and come to think of it i have nothing to do..Father Mario was brilliant and so were his students..Hemya take a bow!!!

So Phani is starting on a BLOG-venture..good news...Soon looks like we are going to have a blogging competition...Priya n Madhu..gear up guys..you dont want to lag far behind now that Phani is joining the rat-race..

Occupation: Working at Film City (Mumbai) at Subhash Ghai's Studio
Brief Portfolio: Amazingly talented and a great friend...read BEST friend...We started of hating each other (knew each other since the 10th standard)..and by chance landed at the same engineering college in the same branch...never wanted to do engineering and somehow managed to get on with it for 4 years...big time film buff..watching all the flop movies n the hit ones first day first show (before engg though)..Being the nephew of Manmohan Shetty (Owner of Adlabs..) always had first hand information about the happenings in BOLLYWOOD...nickname in class GOVINDA for being the biggest fan of Govinda and for his funny antics in class..Always used to complain about having a lot of time at his disposal and doing nothing with it...and now, the busiest amongst the 6...doesnt come home in days...thanks to his job...his mom used to worry about him thinking my son does not study as well as his friends but now being the first one to get a job in my group moms's happy..Thats Nishit for you...

Brief Portfolio: Cunning as a fox and Smarter than the rest..Mayank and Nishit are the 2 best friends i have..Laziest amongst the 6...always late to class and the last to finish assignments...most of them submitted after the due date or just when the prof is all set to pack his/her bags to go home..didnt want to study after engineering (used to say till the 4th year)..now busier than most guys from my class managing MBA studies and all other things that is associated with him including his girlfriend...Nickname BHANGI..reason to call him that..NONE...other nicknames include JATAYU for his long n curvy nose...unique style of walking for which he was ridiculed most often than not...Amazing cricket player and one of the most hated students of the profs (had a brilliant engineering career mind you)..Worst possible dancer you can find on the face of the earth..(has a style of his own)..will be finishing May 2005..Great guy and a true friend..

Brief Portfolio: Tallest amongst the 6 and the nicest of the lot..not the greatest of hardworkers but the most brilliant of minds (no wonder he is in IIT)..comes in the same category as Mayank when it comes to assignments and journals..One and only one thing is in his mind TREKS...Has been to innumerable treks and on the last one broke his leg and almost lost his life..Famous for his one-liners and of course for the worst possible PJ's one will ever hear...Nickname SAM..Favorite amongst most girls for his GOOD ATTITUDE towards them..he was the only one who gave roses to all the girls on the farewell day...Hates being called an IITian..(says that IIT is just a part of his life..thats not his identity)...Thats Samit for you..

Brief Portfolio: Amazing talent on being late to college almost everyday..very rare to see her attend the first lecture of the day..hated most guys from the class (except the 4 of us)..Kirti's closest friend and vice-versa..Close to Nishit..Nickname JOEY..for agreeing with everything and laughing at jokes even when she doesnt understand them...health conscious..hardworker n the most helpful of the group..one of the most eagerly awaited lunchboxes in class used to be hers thanks to her mother's brilliant cooking..mostly used to be in her own world..hated software but unfortunately dragged into it...reasons unknown..way to go Anu..

Brief Description: Needless to say the chatterbox of the group along with Nishit...Nickname KITLI..famous for her troubles with Acidity..used to say out the one liner Mujhe acidity ho rahi hai by pulling my shirt all the time thinking i would help her out with it..ya right..closest friend and the best person to talk to..Big fan of ENERGY (the milk drink which we get)...Topper in studies and friendly with people even when it was not necessary..extremely possessive about friends..Amazing personality and the prime target of most of Nishit and Mayank's jokes (second in line was me)...used to ask (who else) me about the jokes on her(bad habit of putting her foot in her mouth all the time) and put me in embarassing situations most times..handled it well mind you...finishing her MBA in May 04...Favorite amongst profs for topping the class most times...Always a competitor with me when it came to finishing assignments on time (urs truly was the undisputed champ in completing stuff and for being the hot favorite in the list of most wanted assignments)..A fabulous and a fantastic person..

Likhu ya na likhu..

This thing has been eating my brain since morning whether to write a blog or not..well, the readers of my blogs are the best judges as to whether reading a blog daily is good or what...Brijesh is going at a rapid pace catching with all of us...we have to keep writing or else we will be overtaken in this race..Hemant just finished a year of blogging...thats cool man..as i said in the comment section you are an inspiration for us to keep writing..

Suneel has a different method altogether of writing blogs...wont see a blog for ages and then WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! a monster blog comes up from nowhere..Kiran once rightly said..Man, that guy has a lot of patience to do these things....Looks like he keeps accumalating time and uses it at once...

I have a method of my own..keep writing about my day to day experience and once in a while throw in some nostalgic memories from THOSE DAYS...Sapna is in a dreamworld i think with hardly any updates since she went to India...

Madhu is on an exile and has no plans to resume blogging..Priya keeps commenting..hey, u too should write sometime...It feels good...

Enough said and done about blogging...Shall tell you guys about my best budds in the next blog...Should be a cracker of a blog...Hope you guys enjoy it..

All i can see here is SNOW..which was expected when i landed at Philadelphia 2 days ago...Its way too cold now as i am coming from a hot place..well, somethings never change and thats the case with the weather in Akron...

Am back to what i am slightly good at...writing blogs..hope u guys agree with me...it looks like i am writing a column for a newspaper...thats exactly the way i feel writing a blog..am sure u guys are with me on this..9 days and i will be off to complete the remainder of my M.S....sounds cool but i, frankly speaking, dont want to come back...HOME is HOME after all...

India V Australia 3 Test Series...Well, i am one of the priviliged few to watch the test matches...although missed the first one at Brisbane (missed Ganguly's century...sob..sob) the
other 3 covered for it...

I have been roaming for the best part of the trip similar to the trip made in march wherein most time i was out of the house spending time with NEAR ones...

Same is the case this time too...Enjoying every bit of it...no wonder i dont write blogs too often..u guys must be wondering...well, here it is..the first of the new year..
